「Dedicated dancers 」 [デュオ]
NYで「Keep Holding On」の振付をお願いしたBronwen CarsonがNew York Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award Directing部門で受賞の嬉しいニュースが届きました。（ 「April’s Fool」）

そして今回のパフォーマンスによせて、Bronwenからメッセージを頂きました。
"It was an immense pleasure to create this original work on Reiko and Eiichi. When they approached me to create a new pas de deux for them they were drawn to a modern, theatrical approach to the piece. Not only were our rehearsals a lovely, creative experience, they were two of the most focused, dedicated dancers I’ve ever worked with. I am there in spirit as they perform this story of love, loss and courage".
「ReikoとEiichiに、このオリジナルの仕事を創り上げたことはこの上ない喜びです。
彼らに提案されたのはモダンやシアターの要素を取り入れた作品、新しいパ・ドゥ・ドゥをぜひ創って欲しいということでした。
リハーサルが魅力的で創造性に満ちた経験であったばかりでなく、二人は非常に集中力があり、今まで私が仕事を共にしたダンサーより、ダンスに心を捧げていました。
私は二人が愛、喪失、そして勇気のこのストーリーを演ずることができると確信しています。」
メッセージの中で「dedicated dancers 」とブロンウェンが言ってくれた言葉が踊っていく中でとても大切なことのように思います。技術が高くなくても、ダンスに熱心に打ち込んでいればそれは相手に伝わるのだと思います。
パフォーマンスまで１ヵ月を切った今、このメッセージを心に留めてリハーサルに臨みたいと思います。

Credits Include: April’s Fool (NYCFringe 2014), The America Project (movement director) premiering in NYC Fall 2015, Viva America- B'dway Workshop, The Cherry Orchard - Off-B’dwy, Myopia, Dim Sum, Fugue Neighborhood Playhouse (Dir), Sunday in the Park With Phil (Dir.)- Piney Fork Festival, NYC, the world premiere of “Jack’s Back” at The Gloria Maddox Theatre NYC, 49th Street and Other Stories (Creator/Director-Choreographer), Playing With Fire - The Private Theatre, The Dragon Play with ATC, Two Days til Dawn - Off B'dwy, and A Tribute to Michael Jackson- 2010 Astaire Awards. She currently teaches Performance Development, Behavior and Gesture, and Acting for Dancers in NYC. www.bronwencarson.com
